Songs are moods, they represent moments in our lives. You can’t go on listening to the same songs for too long or you’ll go nuts. This is my mantra and motivation to find new music.

When I was younger I would listen to one CD for a whole year and worship it. Lately I have been consuming music at an alarming rate, there is just so much good stuff out there.

One of my favorite new tools for music consumption is The Hype Machine. It’s a blog where users upload music. What you get is a massive, online user generated jukebox, excuse the terminology– iPod, where you can check out recent uploads or specific blogs.

I suppose I haven’t devoted enough time to fully understanding The Hype Machine’s setup, otherwise I’d have a super-rad playlist set up here for you. In place of that, however, you will get a list of songs I’ve listened to and liked lately… albeit around my elbow to get to my ass as it is. Still there? OK, here it is (Sorry, I started reading Catcher in the Rye again today):

So here’s your little kick start! If you haven’t been to this site before, I hope you like it and discover some good stuff. If you find anything worth sharing, please let me know!
