April Playlist
Here are 10 songs that have been making my month a little brighter…
I hope they’ll do the same for you. Also, I’m trying something new, a YouTube playlist. Honestly, I don’t know why it’s taken me thing long to think of it. Now you can just let it play… or skip through if that’s your thing. Enjoy!
1. Cate Le Bon – Are You With Me Now
Feels like it’s from another time. Maybe another continent. I love the simplicity and analog feel.
2. Houndmouth – Sedona
From the first time I heard this song, I wanted to sing along. And every time since I have. It just makes you happy. Infectious pop-folk at it’s best. (On tour now!)
3. Børns – Electric Love
Electro-pop anthem? Is there such a thing? Yes, there is, and it’s wonderful.
4. Devandra Banhart – Foolin’
This Venezuelan crooner serves uplifting lyrics with reggae stylings. I love the vibrato and scratchy record sound on this track.
5. STRFKR – Beach Monster
This song is great for driving or relaxing. Feels like an etherial version of a 90s hit.
6. Pacific! – Break Your Social System
The almost-annoying electronic nature of the song make the lyrics stand out more. That’s what attracts me to this. “Can’t you see you’re not the only one? You got to give it up to change it all.”
7. Walking Shapes – Feel Good
Again, sometimes you just need a song that reminds to to be happy and stop feeling sorry for yourself. also, this melody gets stuck in my head so easily.
8. Broncho – Class Historian
Sassy pop that makes you want to move. Do I need to say anything else?
9. Brave Baby – Magic and Fire
I can’t say enough about how much I love Brave Baby. I just wish they’d put their next album out already! I’m dying over here! But this soothes me.
10. Heyrocco – Slow Dance
I’ve followed this band for a while now and I love their style. This song is just pretty and sweet and makes me happy. I could listen to this on repeat for at least a day.
