Foxygen sounds like the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, and MGMT–all rolled into one.
On top of that, the videos are incredibly entertaining.
I love the nostalgia crossed freshness of anachronistic bands. It’s almost like you get to experience the past in a now kind of way.
The theatrics are a little absurd at times, but isn’t that all part of the fun? You get to listen to these songs and feel transported to some mythical land of day dreams (read egocentricism) and fairy tales (read hallucinogens). They’re so fucking excited about what they’re doing. It’s infectious.
